(CLOVERPELT) ( thunderclan deputy )
GENDER : Tom
POSITION : Deputy
AGE : 24 moons
PICTURE :
QUICK DESC. : pale grey tom with a white belly, white paws, and clear blue eyes.
APPEARANCE: Cloverpelt is large, and well muscled. His shoulders are broad, and he towers over most cats. He is, in many aspects, a giant. His large build and heavy muscles are the result of his hard work, and determination when he was training. Though his large size, he is lean, and rarely has any extra weight. Just by simply glancing at him, you would know that you would not want to cross this cat in battle.
Cloverpelt doesn’t show much emotion, his pale, yet clear blue eyes are like the ocean – they seems endless. When you see him outside of his expression-less mask, you see the real Cloverpelt. The hardened look disappears, and a happier, carefree cat reveals himself. His eyes are no longer endless orbs, but glowing and cheerful.
Cloverpelt’s large frame is covered with a soft, pale, grey pelt. His paws are the same, creamy white as his belly is, and his eyes are as blue as the sky. His blue eyes can be described as both the sky and the ocean. When he is not willing to show his emotions, his eyes are as deep, but unreadable, as the ocean. When he allows himself to show his true feelings, his eyes are bright like the sky . PERSONALITY : Don’t think that his lack of showing emotion means he has none, for that is not true. Don’t get the wrong idea by judging him simply on his looks. There is more to Cloverpelt than meets the eye; he caring and just a good friend to be around. But beyond his cheerfulness, you can see his more serious side, a side that is loyal and brave. He would defend his clan from any enemy. He despises liars and deceivers. Once you lose his trust, it’s hard to get it back.
He usually not the first cat to suggest fighting, but sometimes, if Cloverpelt is seeking revenge, or is angry about something, he would lead them to battle without hesitation. Cloverpelt has a very bad side to his personality, though it only shows on occasion. When his patience is out, he really loses his temper. He doesn’t have much patience, and is easily frustrated. What he hates the most is being misjudged. But Cloverpelt is, in essence, is a caring, and fiercely loyal cat, and would go to any lengths to protect his Clan.
HISTORY : When Cloverpelt was just a kit, he was introduced to the harsh world. He and his brother, Sootkit were close as kits. Their mother had died soon after giving birth, so they were left with their father to take care of them. Their father, Stonestripe, was the deputy at the time, and was often not there for them. He hardly visited them, and when he did it was short and brief. They were given milk and cared for by another queen, Dawnsong. Her kits had already left the nursery, but she still had enough milk for the brothers.
All went well until this one day, a moon before the kits were to be apprenticed. RiverClan attacked the camp, and ThunderClan wasn’t prepared for the attack. For the first time, the deputy acted as the kits father. He protected the two of them to his death. Cloverkit was the only one to survive out of his litter. Cloverkit was devastated. He had lost not only his mother, but now he had lost his brother, and his father.
It was from that day on he developed his hatred for enemy Clans, especially RiverClan. Eventually ThunderClan drove the invaders out of their camp, and sat vigil for the lost cats. It was a nightmare for Cloverkit, but he held strong and kept his anger deep down inside of him. Cloverkit became Cloverpaw, a ThunderClan apprentice. Cloverpaw was a different cat than he had been before. He was no longer that care-free, happy-go-lucky kit. He rarely showed much emotion, and he was strict with the warrior code. Though he didn’t agree that fighting was always the answer, he believed it was just part of life.
It was during his apprentice-hood that he developed a deadly fear of water that would follow him nearly all his life. It happened when he strayed beyond ThunderClan borders, when he slipped and fell in. Cloverpaw trashed against the current, but it was too strong. His mentor, Icefang, found him and shouted for help, but by the time help came, he feared it would be too late. Cloverpaw lost consciousness and sank to the bottom. A RiverClan saved him. ThunderClan was thankful that they hadn’t lost him. Though Cloverpaw was grateful for his savior, his bad memories of them always get in the way of forgiving and forgetting.
Cloverpaw became a warrior, Cloverpelt, after proving himself in battle and saving one of the ThunderClan kits. The cats no longer looked at him as “Stonestripe’s kit.” His name became known in ThunderClan. Cats murmured, “Like father like son,” when they passed him. It was then when he saw what similarities he had with the former deputy. Not looks, for he had inherited his pale grey pelt from his mother, not his dark grey-coated father. However, he did have his father’s clear blue eyes. But while his father expressed emotions, and was generally a cheerful cat, Cloverpelt was like stone.
A few moons later, he was given Sunpaw to mentor. Cloverpelt realized that this was the cat he had saved so many moons before. The apprentice was overjoyed at having Cloverpelt as his mentor. Cloverpelt felt a bond, a rush of emotion he hadn’t felt for so long; he felt the trust that the apprentice had for him.
Another great milestone in Cloverpelt’s life – he was chosen to become the ThunderClan deputy after the former one had been killed in battle. Now the clan looked up to him, and Cloverpelt could feel something else. He was beginning to take off the mask he had been hiding under for so long. ROLEPLAY SAMPLE : Cloverpelt lashed his tail impatiently. Sunpaw was late. Cloverpelt heaved a sigh, and began to make his way towards the apprentices den. Sunpaw was curled up, still asleep. “Lazy furball,” Cloverpelt prodded Sunpaw on the side. “Sunpaw!” Sunpaw woke up with a start. “About time,” snorted Cloverpelt. “Sorry,” He mewed, looking down at his paws, avoiding his mentor’s eye. Cloverpelt nodded curtly, accepting the apology. “Let’s go, then.” “You haven’t practiced your defensive moves in a while,” Cloverpelt mewed. “So I thought we should work on that today.” Sunpaw nodded eagerly, as they padded to a more open space of ThunderClan land. “Ok, so when I lunge towards you, back out of the way and attack.” Cloverpelt leaped at the apprentice, careful not to put to much of his weight on his front paws. Sunpaw leapt to the side and lunged towards his mentor. "Well done,” Cloverpelt mewed approvingly. CODEWORD: snowbound
